Stuttgart based cellist, teacher and composer Alvin Wong performs as a concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australasia. An advocate in new music, Alvin has premiered concertos and cello works by Grammy, Pulitzer and McArthur-winning Chinese and American composers.

Born in Hong Kong, Alvin studied with legendary cellists and pedagogues János Starker and Aldo Parisot, and was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree from Yale University. He currently serves on the faculty of Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.
